Scientific Name: Scindapsus Pictus
Family: Araceae
Genus: Scindapsus
Native: Bangladesh & South East Asia
Often mistakenly called a Pothos, the broad, matte-leafed Scindapsus boasts artistic variegation on its dark leaves - which is why it is called Pictus, meaning "painted on"! An evergreen climber that can reach upto 3 meters in height, it has graceful, unfurling stems. A relatively slow grower, it is also low maintenance and will thrive in wet, warm conditons and bright indirect light. This variety is rare and is called 'Exotica' - and true to its name has memorable silvery white variegation on a darker leaf canvas.
